Cereals - Simple Granola, Maple Granola

              

Simple Granola

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 10 cups Regular Rolled Oats

  • 10 cups Quick Rolled Oats

  • 1 Tb. Salt

  • 2 cups Sweetener, honey, maple syrup, barley malt etc

  • 1 1/4 cups Vegetable Oil

  • 1/4 cup Maple Flavor

  • 1/4 cup Vanilla Flavor

  • 1 cup Water 

 

         Instructions:

 

  • Place the first three ingredients into a large bowl and mix well. Form a well in the middle and add the liquid ingredients.

  • Mix well until there are no dry parts.

  • Set it aside to stand for 10 minutes. Spread the granola out on some cookie sheets no more than 1/2” thick.

  • Bake at 250˚F for 30 minutes. Lower the temperature to 200˚F and bake till crisp and dry. Store in an air tight container.

 

Maple Granola

 

        Ingredients:

 

  • 1 cup Cashews

  • 1 cup Water

  • 4 cups Dates

  • 3 cups Hot Water

  • 1/4 cup Tahini, Nut Butter or Oil

  • 1 cup Honey or other sweetener

  • 2 Tb. Vanilla

  • 1/4 cup Maple Flavor

  • 1 Tb. Salt

  • 16 cups Regular Rolled Oats

  • 8 cups Quick Rolled Oats

  • 1 cup Coconut

  • 1/2 cup Walnut Pieces

  • 1/2 cup Almonds

  • 1/2 cup Hazelnuts

  • 1/2 cup Brazil nuts 

 

Instructions: 

 

  • Blend the first two ingredients in a blender on high till milky.

  • In a food processor blend the dates and water into a paste.

  • Add the other ingredients and cashew milk and process. 

  • In a large bowl place all the dry ingredients and mix well.

  • Form a well in themiddle and add the liquid ingredients.

  • Mix till all is combined.

  • Let the granola stand for 10 minutes. Spread it on baking trays not more than 1/2” thick and bake at 250˚F for 30minutes.

  • Lower the temperature to 200˚F and bake till crisp and dry.
