Pad Thai

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tamarind sauce

  • 3/4 cup sugar or honey

  • 1 1/2 Tb. salt

  • 3 Tb. soy sauce

  • 1 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/2 Tb. onion powder

  • 1/2 Tb. garlic powder

  • 1 Tb. yeast flakes

  • 1 Tb. chicken style seasoning

  •  

Place all the ingredients together in a blender and blend on high till liquid. Pour it into a pot a cook for about 10-15 minutes.

 

  • 1 bag rice noodle

  • 5 cups mung bean sprout

  • 1 cup carrots sliced into strips

  • 1 cup green onion sliced

  • 1 cup roasted peanut crushed

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 1 Tb. garlic crushed 

 

         Instructions:

 

  • In a wok or large skillet place a little oil and heat.

  • Saute the garlic and onion till tender.

  • Add the carrots and cook for a few minutes.

  • Add the noodles and bean sprouts add as much sauce as desired and cook till the noodles are soft but cooked.

  • Add the peanuts and green onion.

  • Toss together and serve immediately.
